ZIPAQUIRÁ

Discover one of the country’s wonders. Located one hour from Bogotá, the town of Zipaquirá is home to an incomparable work of architecture and engineering—an old salt mine transformed into an impressive underground cathedral, 180 meters below ground. You will visit the various Stations of the Cross carved in salt rock and experience a 3D light and sound show.

Lunch and time for lunch are not included. If required, these must be arranged and quoted separately.

Day 5
CHARM OF THE ANDES, SALENTO & FILANDIA
Start time: 8:00 AM
Duration: Approximately 8 hours
The Coffee Cultural Landscape is as rich as its contrasts, and this experience is a perfect example. In the morning, we walk beneath the tallest wax palms on the planet in the Cocora Valley, ascending into the mountains to explore the mysterious cloud forests. During this trip, the charming towns’ architecture stands out for its authenticity and uniqueness.
We visit Salento to experience its architecture up close, the shapes and vivid colors of the houses on the main street, ending at the town’s viewpoint. After a traditional lunch, we head to the town of Filandia, where we stroll through the main streets observing buildings made with bahareque, visit natural viewpoints, and the interpretation center “From Vine to Basket” to learn about the art made with plant fibers that gives rise to traditional basket weaving. Final transfer back to the initial meeting point.

Day 6
CHOCOLATE AND ANCESTRAL KNOWLEDGE

Marsella is one of the most beautiful towns in the Coffee Cultural Landscape, where you can slowly enjoy the breathtaking mountain views along its road. Admire the architecture of the main square, its impressive cultural house, and the colorful houses. We will take you to coffee-growing lands, with postcard-like viewpoints, to discover among the green mountains the flavor of fruits paired with the most exquisite organic chocolate. Walk among the cacao trees, taste the sweet mucilage in your mouth, and combine it with oranges, mandarins, and aromatic herbs. You will have lunch on the farm, savoring the authentic flavors of the countryside.
You will also participate in the chocolate-making process: harvesting the seeds, roasting them, and melting them to create a delicious cocoa cream, with which you can prepare your favorite sweet or drink. On the return trip, a tour of the town and the route back will give you the chance to enjoy an unforgettable coffee country sunset.

How to make the most of a day in Medellín? Very easy. This is the perfect tour. In the morning, we will visit the must-see iconic sites of the city, including a traditional lunch. In the afternoon, we will explore the city’s social transformation by visiting one of its most unique neighborhoods, guided by people who experienced its change firsthand.

• The Antioquia Museum is NOT open on Sundays or public holidays.

PEÑOL AND GUATAPÉ TOUR

Our main attraction in Antioquia: The Peñol Rock. This 220-meter monolith offers 700 climbing routes that you can try, while marveling at the stunning view. You can be the star of an incredible photo session for your social media, from the top of the rock to the colorful cobblestone streets of the town of Guatapé.
Important notes:
· The climb is not recommended for people with reduced mobility, respiratory issues, seniors, or children under 5 years old.
· The trip to Peñol takes approximately 2 hours.

SAN PEDRO DE MAJAGUA ISLAND

Hotel San Pedro de Majagua is located on Isla Grande, one of the 31 islands that make up the Corales del Rosario National Natural Park, a valuable ecosystem complex.
At 8:00 AM, from the “La Bodeguita” pier, we will take a boat ride to enjoy a panoramic view of the archipelago. Then, we will arrive at “Majagua” where you will have free time to relax and enjoy the beautiful beaches.
Important:
The return to the city is approximately between 3:00 PM and 3:30 PM.

- Transfers between the airport and hotel from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM will incur an additional night surcharge.

- The accommodation rates apply to low season. If you wish to upgrade the hotel category, please contact us for more information.
- If the traveler purchases flights, accommodation, or any other activity independently, please note that any issues or unforeseen events related to these services are beyond the responsibility of Colombia Travel Operator, and we are not liable for them.
- The initial 50% payment will be subject to a 10% administrative fee in case of cancellation, plus any additional administrative costs related to the cancellation.
- 30 days before the start of services: 20% penalty applies.
- Up to 15 days before the start of services: 50% penalty applies.
- Less than 5 days before the service: 100% penalty (non-refundable).
- Flight Changes & Airport Transfers:
Any flight changes must be reported at least 3 hours before the scheduled service. - Airport waiting time is 1 hour (unless flight changes are reported in advance). After this, additional waiting hours will be charged.
- If a change in flight schedule or flight number is reported only 1 hour in advance, waiting time will be charged, or the service will be considered a no-show and a new service will need to be scheduled.
- After 2 hours of waiting with no prior notice, the service will be considered a no-show.

Please be aware of the restrictions for entering Caño Cristales:
- No application of chemical products (sunscreen, insect repellent, etc.)
- Smoking and alcohol consumption are not allowed during hikes
The water in the river is clean but not drinkable – do not consume it
Meals not mentioned in the itinerary are not included, so we recommend bringing cash to enjoy local cuisine during your visit
