Located one hour from Bogotá is the municipality of Zipaquirá, where you will find an incomparable work of architecture and engineering: a former mine transformed into an impressive cathedral, 180 meters underground. You will visit different Stations of the Cross carved in salt stone, and you will also find a 3D light and sound show.

Day 4
CHARM OF THE ANDES, SALENTO AND FILANDIA

The Coffee Cultural Landscape is as rich as its contrasts are infinite, and this experience proves it. In the morning, we walk under the tallest wax palms in the world in the Cocora Valley, ascending the mountain to discover the mysterious cloud forests. In this journey, the architecture of charming towns stands out for its authenticity and uniqueness. We visit Salento to closely observe its architecture, the shapes and bright colors of the houses on the main street, up to the town viewpoint. After a traditional lunch, we head to the municipality of Filandia, where we walk through its main streets observing the shapes and colors of constructions made with “bahareque”, visiting natural viewpoints and the interpretation center “From vine to basket” to learn about crafts made with plant fibers, which give rise to traditional basket weaving. Final transfer back to the initial meeting point.

Day 5
CHOCOLATE AND ANCESTRAL KNOWLEDGE

Marsella is one of the most beautiful municipalities in the Coffee Cultural Landscape, slowly enjoying the fascinating mountain landscapes visible along the road. Admire the architecture of the square, its imposing cultural house, and colorful homes. We will take you to coffee lands with postcard-like viewpoints, where you will discover among the green mountains the taste of fruits along with exquisite organic chocolate. Walk among cacao trees, taste the sweet mucilage, and combine it with oranges, mandarins, and aromatic plants. You will have lunch at the farm with traditional countryside flavors. You will be part of the chocolate-making process, taking the seeds, roasting them, and melting them to obtain a delicious cocoa paste, with which you can prepare your favorite sweet or drink. On the way back, a tour of the town and the return route offer the opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable coffee-region sunset.

Very easy. This is the tour to do it. In the morning, we will visit the city’s must-see landmarks, enjoy a typical lunch included, and in the afternoon understand the social transformation by visiting one of the most unique neighborhoods, guided by people who experienced its change.

The Antioquia Museum is NOT open on Sundays or public holidays.

PEÑOL AND GUATAPÉ TOUR

Our main attraction in Antioquia: El Peñol Rock. This 220-meter monolith has 700 steps that you can climb to admire the beautiful view. You can be the protagonist of incredible photos, from the top of the rock to the colorful cobblestone streets of Guatapé.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
Climbing the rock is not recommended for people with reduced mobility, respiratory problems, elderly people, or children under 5 years old. The journey to El Peñol is approximately 2 hours.

CAÑAVERAL AND ARRECIFES

Transportation from Santa Marta to the Cañaveral sector, ecological walk for 1 hour to the Arrecifes sector, walk along the beach to the natural pool, time for swimming, return to Arrecifes, and return to Cañaveral.

SAN PEDRO DE MAJAGUA ISLAND

The San Pedro de Majagua Hotel is located on Isla Grande, one of the 31 islands that make up the Rosario Coral National Natural Park. From “La Bodeguita” dock, we depart by boat and enjoy a panoramic view of the archipelago, then arrive at Majagua where you will have free time to relax on the beaches.
IMPORTANT:
Return to the city is around 3:00 pm – 3:30 pm.

- Accommodation rates apply in low season; if you wish to upgrade the hotel category, you can consult us.
- If the passenger purchases tickets, accommodation, or any other activity on their own, they must take into account that any unforeseen event related to this is beyond the scope of Colombia Travel Operator and we are not responsible for any related issues.
- The first payment of 50% will be subject to a 10% administrative fee in case of cancellation, plus administrative expenses.
- 30 days before the start of the services: 20% penalty.
- Up to 15 days before the start of the service: 50% penalty of the total value.
- Less than 5 days: 100% penalty of the total value.
- Changes in flights must be notified 3 hours before the service.
- Waiting time at the airport is 1 hour (without prior notification of flight changes); after that time, waiting hours will be charged.
- In case of change of schedule or flight number notified 1 hour before the service, waiting hours will be added or, otherwise, the service will be canceled (no-show) and a new service will be scheduled.
- After 2 hours of waiting without prior notification, it is considered a no-show.
