TJulio and his team were amazing. Julio set up transport in Medellín, a city Tour, a flower tour in Santa Clara, a hiking trip in Parque Arvi, a visit to Communa 13. In Cartagena he set up our transport, a city tour. If you plan to go to Colombia I give Julio and his team my highest recommendation.
Football with Locals
Football is the language everyone speaks here
Step into the real Comuna 13, guided by someone who calls it home. You’ll climb the famous outdoor escalators and walk among the urban art that tells the story of a neighborhood that transformed itself: a living lesson in resilience, told from the inside.
But this experience goes one step further than a regular Comuna 13 visit. It ends with a genuine human connection: a friendly 15-minute football match with kids from the barrio, followed by a donation of sports equipment to the community. In Medellín’s neighborhoods, football is far more than a game, it’s a space where children grow up, dream, and find opportunity.
This isn’t a show put on for visitors. It’s a real moment of sharing a match, laughter, and a welcome that stays with you long after you leave. You come for football, and leave with a completely different understanding of Medellín.

Overview of your tour
Your experience begins with a guided walk through Comuna 13, led by a local. You’ll ride the iconic outdoor escalators and discover the vibrant street art that narrates the neighborhood’s journey from its difficult past to the creative, welcoming community it is today. Your guide shares the real stories behind the murals, the kind you won’t find on a standard tour.
The experience then reaches its heart: a friendly 15-minute football match with children from the barrio on a local pitch. It’s a simple, joyful moment of connection ; no skills required, just the willingness to share the game. To close, the group donates sports equipment to the community, leaving a lasting, positive impact through sport.
