We are a group of 4 from Toronto & Hong Kong taking a 7 days trip around Colombia in November 2018. We joined an amazing company called Colombia Travel Operator. The trip was tailor-made to us which covered places like Bogotá, Coffee Area, Medellin, Cartagena and Mompox. Kelly Botero, the charming beautiful young lady who we have corresponded since day 1 and till the end of the trip has been fascinating.

Overview of your tour
Experience firsthand the story of Colombian independence by walking the streets of the city center and La Candelaria. You’ll gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for Colombia as your guide provides you with insider information on the country’s history. We’ll continue our journey of Colombia’s past into its present with the Gold Museum. This beautiful establishment hosts more than 55,000 pieces of gold from the pre-Hispanic era. Museum-posted placards are in both English and Spanish, so information on how items were traditionally used is available to everyone. Then comes Monserrate Hill, a giant lookout point situated in the center of Bogotá. We’ll take in the expansive views of the city and explore the artisanal markets before heading to a traditional Colombian lunch. We’ll then visit the locality of Usaquén, a funky location that’s known for… well, you’ll have to take the tour to find out!
Please note that the Gold Museum is closed on Mondays. If your tour happens to be on a Monday, don’t worry — we’ll find another fantastic museum to visit, such as the Botero Museum, or another activity that suits you to fill the time.
Though this is the classic route that we recommend, please do not hesitate to let us know upon booking what interests you! We are more than happy to alter the itinerary to incorporate other sights that you would like to see or places you would like to visit.

I would like to give special thanks to Kelly for planning my itinerary for Cartagena and Bogota – she also arranged my airport transfers in both cities, my full day tour in Cartagena was amazing! We fell in love with the walled city, such beautiful buildings and great restaurants. Kelly gave us some really good restaurant recommendations and we also enjoyed the trip to fort San Felipe.
Amazing tour and amazing tour guide (Julio)! My first tour in Colombia and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The sites were amazing and the food was incredible. Thanks to our guide Julio for going above and beyond to making sure we had a great time.
This tour was amazing! We ended up getting our own private tour with Julio (awesome guy). The ride was fun, great conversations, a lot of history and knowledge…
We had a great time on this tour. We were only two persons in the tour and our guide Juan Carlos was fantastic…
