Overview of your tour

Experience firsthand the story of Colombian independence by walking the streets of the city center and La Candelaria. You’ll gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for Colombia as your guide provides you with insider information on the country’s history. We’ll continue our journey of Colombia’s past into its present with the Gold Museum. This beautiful establishment hosts more than 55,000 pieces of gold from the pre-Hispanic era. Museum-posted placards are in both English and Spanish, so information on how items were traditionally used is available to everyone. Then comes Monserrate Hill, a giant lookout point situated in the center of Bogotá. We’ll take in the expansive views of the city and explore the artisanal markets before heading to a traditional Colombian lunch. We’ll then visit the locality of Usaquén, a funky location that’s known for… well, you’ll have to take the tour to find out!

Please note that the Gold Museum is closed on Mondays. If your tour happens to be on a Monday, don’t worry — we’ll find another fantastic museum to visit, such as the Botero Museum, or another activity that suits you to fill the time.

Though this is the classic route that we recommend, please do not hesitate to let us know upon booking what interests you! We are more than happy to alter the itinerary to incorporate other sights that you would like to see or places you would like to visit.
