TJulio and his team were amazing. Julio set up transport in Medellín, a city Tour, a flower tour in Santa Clara, a hiking trip in Parque Arvi, a visit to Communa 13. In Cartagena he set up our transport, a city tour. If you plan to go to Colombia I give Julio and his team my highest recommendation.
Flowers & Farmers Tour
The Medellin Flower Festival brings urban a rural worlds together
Medellín has the best of both the urban and rural worlds
Just outside of city limits reside an array of farms used primarily for cultivating flowers. These flowers aren’t just for show, though — they bloom into special arrangements called silletas at the hands of the talented silleteros, or flower farmers and arrangers. Heading out into nature may be just the respite from the city that you were craving.

Overview of your tour
Looking to learn more about cultural heritage and ancient Colombian traditions? Look no further! Our Flowers & Farmers Tour is our most traditional by far, principally because of who we feature on it: the silleteros, or the flower farmers that cultivate and arrange the flowers into silletas. Coming to visit these gentle souls is a bit like traveling in time since they are known as the keepers of Colombian customs.
As a perfect start to our day, traversing the forest in a cable car is nothing short of magical. Soaring over the dense greenery will transport you to another world and leave the city far behind you. Upon arrival to the farm, we’ll settle in a bit as we will spend most of our day here. We’ll learn about the process from start to finish. We’ll see the endless fields of flowers and learn about their cultivation. After that, our new friends will show us an array of different arrangement styles that they create and tell us more about the process and its backstory. Beauty is the centerpiece of this tour, both visually and culturally.

We took a private tour with Juan Carlos. Everything was perfect! He has an excellent knowledge about Medellin and speak perfect English and Spanish. We took the metro, metro cable, we went to Botero Plaza and comuna 13. Thank you Juan Carlos and Colombia travel! Now I’m in love with Medellín.
Julio was incredibly knowledgable about Escobar and the history of violence in the city. The message of change and transformation given with the tour was really heartfelt and inspiring. Communal 13 is a must see for anyone travelling to Medellin.
