Detailed itinerary

Days 1-3: Medellín
Museum of Antioquia | Botero Fernando exhibits | explore Medellín

Upon your arrival to Medellín, we will collect you at the airport and jump headfirst into our 11-day adventure. For the first leg of our tour, we will be staying…

…in the beautiful city of eternal spring, home to the famous Fernando Botero. Medellín has so much to offer, and we’ll see as much as time allows: the largest public Botero exhibits, the Museum of Antioquia (where Botero has donated a good portion of his personal collection), the Metropolitan Cathedral, and some of Medellín’s most beautiful street art. We’ll also be including our Social Innovation Tour during our stay; this tour focuses on the social change and creativity that has bloomed in Medellín since the times of its violent past. Our time in this resilient city will gift us with a chance to be involved directly in this innovation.

Days 4-7: Bogotá
Botero Museum | Gold Museum | Zipaquirá & the salt cathedral

A short flight will drop us off in the capital on day 4. Bogotá boasts an incredible collection of Botero’s art, all donated by the artist himself, which we will admire…

…at the Botero Museum. A blast from the prehistoric past will deepen your appreciation for Colombia’s history as you wander through the halls of the Gold Museum, which hosts the world’s largest collection of gold pieces. While in Bogotá, we will also venture out to Zipaquirá on our Zipaquirá Tour. Here we can admire the magnificent feat of engineering that is the Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá and its incredible Stations of the Cross. The hustle and bustle of the nation’s capital is sure to spark your energy and interest in getting to know Colombia.

Days 8-11: Cartagena
Castle of San Felipe | Rosario Islands | Plaza Santo Domingo

Another skip, hop, and a jump on a plane, and we’ll land in Cartagena, the beautiful Caribbean of Colombia. Here, we will be doing a lot of…

…walking (provided you’re comfortable with that) since that is the best way to get up close and personal with this walled city. Like the other two cities on our 11-day adventure, this historical monument of humanity received a generous donation from Botero, a striking sculpture in Plaza Santo Domingo titled “La Gordita” (“The Fat Woman”). The Castle of San Felipe, La Popa Monastery, and many other attractions will make this visit to balmy Cartagena de Indias unforgettable. Of course, no trip to Cartagena is complete without taking our Rosario Islands Tour, in which we cruise across the deep navy waters to this magical archipelago. Our adventure together ends here in Cartagena, but you’ll feel as though time has flown by you in this incredible artistic and cultural experience.
