Sitting at about 1600 m (5350 ft) above sea level, the city of Medellín best represents Colombia’s recent transformation. Next to nothing seems to remain of this vibrant city’s violent past, since today, it is a modern and vigorous city, home to the country’s only integrated public transit system.
