Overview of your tour

We begin our Bogotá adventure in chronological order with La Candelaria, the colonial sector. Walking through the historical center of the capital is guaranteed to transport you to another time in Colombian history. Your guide will teach you about Bogotá’s colorful past before arriving at the Gold Museum, just outside La Candelaria. Here, we will marvel at over 55,000 gold pieces from Colombia’s main pre-Hispanic cultures — and see one of the largest collections in the world! With descriptions in both English and Spanish, the artifacts allow you to discover how the pieces were used in ancient times, in both everyday life and sacred rituals. These two locales are only two of our stops on the Bogotá City Tour, so you’ll have to take it to explore even more!

Please note that the Gold Museum is closed on Mondays. If your tour happens to be on a Monday, don’t worry — we’ll find another fantastic museum to visit, such as the Botero Museum, or another activity that suits you to fill the time.

Though this is the classic route that we recommend, please do not hesitate to let us know upon booking what interests you! We are more than happy to alter the itinerary to incorporate other sights that you would like to see or places you would like to visit.
